i recently had my fuse blow on the gauge instructment which would not let my odometer , fuel gauge , rev counter , or speedo work?. i was in the outback were no spares were available . lucky i had my gps handy to work out speed and kilometers to get me to my nearest toyota dealer.the dealer was approximatly 800klms away. i noticed when the fault was rectified the odometer did not advance to the correct mileage.has anyone came across this problem?

What caused the fuse to blow??
I don't know of anyway that the mileage would re-set itself to the right K's other than a Tech from toyota, manually doing it. If you are planning on doing this thats great. Nothing worse than some dodgy so and so trying to pass off a car with less than its actual K's
If the tech at the dealer can't do it, the only other thing that i would suggest is to keep a detailed log book of the vehicles actual K's, for your own peace of mind as well as any potential future buyers of your vehicle2003 V6 GXL, Mickey Thompson MTZ's, Safari Snorkel, ARB Winch Bar, OME Suspension 2" lift, GME TX3420

Nup with the 265/70R16s Cooper ST's the odometer was accurate but speedo was reading 2% slow @ 100km/h.
With the 265/75R16s BFG MT's the odometer is now 3% less than measured (using tyre size mathematics it works out to be 3.5%) & the speedo is reading 1.5% too fast @ 100km/h.Richard
