  • LED driving lights-real world use comments

Who here is running LED driving lights. I have looked at a few on the internet lately and am curious about real life performance against others. I know you can read all the specs on paper but its the real world use comments i want to hear. if you do have how are they and what did you have beforehand to compare against.
    look forward to your comments

OK I know I sell them but I will try to give you my findings regarding the LED lightbars.

I have a set of Lightforce XGT's on the front of my bus and have always loved the light they put out for a non HID light. About 6 months ago I rigged up a 22" led lightbar just above the XGT's on the aerial tabs of the bullbar (pic below). At first when I turned it on in the day time I thought to myself that it didn't seem that bright, so Time for a night run. I took it down the local dead end street full of factories and turned it on. WHOLEY MOLEY! this thing is unreal.
Anyway that weekend I had a trip planned to the flinders so I decided to leave friday night just to have a play with my new toy. We met up with my brother who said he could see us coming from a mile away and he followed us the rest of the way. I have never seen so many roos in all my life and that was purely with the lightbar as when I only had the spotties on I saw bugger all. The light emited from the lightbar is a brilliant white light and shoots down the road some 300 odd metres, so not as far as the spotties but it fills the whole road and roadside with light.
I hardly use my spotties now and if I had my time again I would not even bother with them. I wouldn't buy anything less than the 22" bar as that seems to be the best performing size.

This isnt a great photo but it is just the lightbar on nothing else.

      Glen,
The one on your bus... is that spot/spread or all spread?

It's what they call euro beam. So half spread half spot. Photos really don't do it justice. Hmmm might need to do a night run to show people.
