nice to see someone else who calls a spade a spade . (no racial undertones implied) and anyway moving on, i find that after a big night on the TOOHEYS NEW cans in the 30 pack , i wake up as fresh as a daisy with absolutely no hideous after affects or hint of a hangover. it must be because there are no added preservatives or flavour enhancers .and when you finish with them you can just squash the cans and recycle them , being the avid greenie that i am . Thankyou tooheys bros for such a fine product . am i close yet ? how much more do i need to suck up ? thats 2 posts in one thread .

Knowing how much forums like PP influence product sales, CFC offers are not surprising. Companies are already offering discounts for PP members because they recognise the power of inforumation (did I just make up a new word? ).

As long as people provide an honest account of the product, I don't see a problem. In fact, the way the forum works, it is difficult for anyone to get away with a less than honest review of a product - there are too many checks and balances for anyone to get away with a positive review of a less-than ordinary product.

Any PP members 'quietly' promoting a product for monetary gain is just cheapening themselves and the forum as the majority of users just want honest information and opinions on a product. In saying that, maybe goods and service providers should have right of reply on the forum if they think they have been misrepresented by members.

I have never looked at Twitter, but I am now seriously thinking about getting an acount $750 a pop would be hard to knock back.

Interestingly though Matt Moran was in relation to Kangaroo island. Thats the only place I ever travelled too that I have no desire to go back too. I guess that counts me out for an easy $750

I would have to agree with most comments made - I know I have based a number of decisions on what product to buy (or convince myself to buy) because of comments on here, believing that they are in the main or at least intend to be unbiased. Maybe I should treat Pradopoint like a magazine (4wd Action?) and think that those products which get the best reviews are those that sponsor the magazine. What ever did happen to Don from TJM?

That last sentence cracked me up Madkore.
I allways thought that "Honest Don the Christian" from TJM off the 4WD Action DVD's. Would have been a good reason to shop at ARB. It was a pitty that he could not drive the 150 series for shite!

You know, I'm not surprised this sort of crap goes on. At least companies like Nike sponsor people like tiger woods and the end user knows tiger is plugging their product because he gets so many millions a year out of it. But someone like tiger has the option of 3 or 4 too brands and chooses Nike because he must believe in them. Otherwise he's jeopardizing his credibility.

I believe that companies shouldn't bribe us. If a product is good we will all plug it for free as we want to sharebangood product + experience with fellow members. If its rubbish we will also let you know about it. So any company out therebho is reading this, if your considering paying someone for a positive review, save that cash and invest it in bettering your product as a good product will get a free plug and you won't have to spend that money! Easy as that!!!

I have cooper at3 tyres and I know the importers and have told anyone who asked me about the tyres that they are great with traction, noise and wear but are horrible that they pick up and retain rocks all the time. I even told the cooper people. If they have a flaw, no good bagging their Product. Inform them of the short comings in order for them to rectify them.

My 2 cents!

I don't think it is that wide spread. I suspect one or two people with well credentialed rigs may be approached from time to time, but that would be it. I am aware that some independent shops get offered free items to put on their display rigs.

For the record, it would seem my rig doesn't make the cut. Guess I will just keep sending the weekly letters to 4wd Action.
