    Gooday experts
A non Prado Question I know but...

I have just purchased a second hand 16ft, 81 model Viscount caravan to go with our trusty Prado and it has a window in need of repair (frame falling apart in top LH corner, previous owner was a special person and its ready to fall).
Do any of you know of a site I can visit for maintenance information or alternatively how the hell do I take it out, to fix? (without using my natural skill with big hammer and devil may care attitiude).

    Regards Turtle :?:

Grab the yellow pages and look for caravan repair companies. If they cant repair it, they should be able to sell you the parts if needed and show you how to do it. Most of those old aluminium framed windows are self tappers and pop rivets. Look for the hinges and if popped drill out the pops and remove from the frame. If you get that far you might be able to drop it into a repairer. Hope it ends up a simple fix mate. Let us know how ya get on.
    Goog luck.
    cheers

      RE Caravan window

      Thankyou for your feedback Les.

Another question of you if I may..
On the window hindged edge at the top there are grey plastic plugs at each end that seem to hold the window to the frame, is there a trick to getting them out so I can remove the window from the frame?

Do I have to push them up before I can slide them out as they seem to be what is holding the window in the frame?

      many thanks Turtle

The grey plastic plugs will be elbows. Just tap them out using a srewdriver or simular. Honestly though I cant see what you are talking about but can imagine from my experoence with this stuff. Is it possible to show me a pic or two so I can guide you better?
        cheers
