  • Compressor hose

Well my crappy coiled compressor hose finaly crapped out yesterday. The hose is actually like new, but the fitting on the end broke off. I hate the coiled up hoses and have been looking around for a straight hose without any luck. Now I have an excuse to get a new hose. The compressor is great (Bushranger max air) But I hate the hose. (did I already say that?)

I want the same type of flexible straight hose that is often found at service stations on those dial up pressure stations.. About 9 or 10mm od, very flexible, and I want one of those clip on connectors on the end.

eBay has not been my friend as I cannot find what I want there.

    Any ideas??

Would the ARB hose kit fit the compressor fitting? It is a good strong hose, and non coiled, Brit orange, so you cannot loose it and is predicted with fittings to suit the ARB compressor...

      Hello Davros,

Try Mitre 10 or Bunnings, they have air lines and fittings for home use 240 volt compressors. These have threaded ends and you then connect any fittings you need. Usually they stock several lengths, ie 6, 10 and 15 metres. Mitre 10 have a guage and tyre inflation fittings also.

      regards

I bought a 100 mtr roll of 140PSI blue hose of Ebay for 70 bucks delivered.
Head to the local airline shop (shipways/ blackwoods etc) and get the fittings and clamps. Done!

Anywhere that supplies industrial products should have what you want, as someone mentioned, even the bigger hardware chains.

Funny you dont like the coiled hoses though, I have straight hoses in the shed and also got the straight hose with the ARB compressor, first job was to ditch that and get a couple of coiled hoses! horses for courses I guess.

          Cheers Andrew

            Thanks guys.

After eading all of the responses I contacted a compressed air specialist supplier in Penrith. He has what I want including a Jamec air chuck for the end of the hose.

Andrew, if you want the coiled hose, it's yours.
