  • Tigerz11 roof racks/baskets - any good?

    HI

Does anyone have a Tigerz11 aluminium roof rack/basket?
Are they any good and does the aluminium handle the off road stuff ok or does it work harden and crumble?

Also how well to the Rhino Heavy Duty roof rack bars hold up as they have plastic gutter mount legs?

I have the Rhino stuff and am thinking of mounting the Tigerz basket onto it but have a feeling it might all fall apart,,,

    Real life experiences please anyone???

I was going to order the aluminum clamp on roof rack from tigerz11 for my 150. The max load rating on it was 70kg which put me off purchasing it. Have ordered the steel version from them and should receive next week. Couldn't go past ordering the awning at the same time given the price. Will let you know quality once received.
Just keep in mind that if you order off there website to place separate orders for there in stock and Pre order items - this court me out and now I'm having to negotiate the possibility of a double freight charge or wait till July until all items in my order are in stock.

Hadn't thought about the weight loading of the tray as I figured the roof loading would be lower than it anyway.
Where did you find that bit of info? I can't see it on their website.

I have a steel rack now and I reckon its somewhere near 35Kgs which doesn't leave much for the contents.

        Email reply from tigerz11

The alloy clamp on have a capacity load of 70kg. The steel clamp on will
        hold more than your rails.

Installed the Tigerz11 Clamp on Steel Roof Rack on the weekend. For the price i paid 239 + shipping a think it's quite good. Minimal assembly required. However the knobs that holds the system to the factory roof rails were too large in diameter and I therefor had to purchase washers and nuts to finalize the fit. Tigerz11 have now updated there website to this fact and are investigating this and will hopefully come up with a better fit. Overall can't complain to much due to the price, and wind noise isn't too bad either.
