Thought I'd start a thread of the camper mods I do as I 'upgrade" the camper we just bought.

First one was remove the "water" cover that was labelled POWER and fit a proper 240V inlet.

My "tight fisted b*****d" cheap water tank set up:

Two 25lt water drums (under $20 each):



Extra lid, dilled to take caravan sink pump ($3 for lid, $30 for pump):




No lifting or pouring drums, none of those stupid little taps on the side that always seem to leak..

Cheap... and it works....

Custom Water Tank

Here is a photo of the custom made water tank i had made for my TravelMax camper. Holds approx 80 ltrs


The Travel Max is a camper for less then 10 grand, 12ft floor space, king size bed. Space for 3 jerry cans and 1 4 kilo gas bottle holder. Very big toolbox on the front.

Not a bad camper, but could be a lot better.

Will post more pics as I continue modding it

I'd forgotten all about this thread I started.

I have added water tank and taps, tool box which houses the 12v system that powers fridge and lights etc when camping. Also added extra strength to the trailer to carry the weight that the tool box adds. New larger jockey wheel and quick release spare tyre.
