since i mounted my air compressor in the engine bay, i ran an air hose to rthe rear of the car. However today the hose burst near the pump due to heat fatigue. Can anyone recommend a heat resistant air hose that would be suitable for use in the engine bay?

Can you add a piece of sheet metal to act as a heat protector? -

Just get blackwoods or any compressed air place to make up a meter of hi temp Teflon braided hose..
Stops the heat issue.. About $30.
