G'day. I've got some tantalizing news for Pradopointers looking for a great place to go 4wding close to Adelaide!
I've been told of a property in the Adelaide hills that is being set up as a four wheel drive park. Apparently there will be all sorts of terrain and tracks graded from beginner to impossible. The organizer has a lot of experience running and competing in winch challenges and 24 HR trials and is looking to run similar events here - for registered 4x4s too. There is a large flat camping area down in the valley by a creek and costs are expected to be nearly half that of other SA 4x4 parks. They aim to be open the first weekend each month but expect to need to be open more often as business increases. Looking to be up and running in a couple of months.
It's not my place to say any more than that except this is going to be huge and it's very exciting for those who like to do some challenging tracks without traveling for hours to get there!
Keep your ears open for developments!;-)
Cheers, Ben.
