    Saw it last night, CGI.
It showed a different yellow attachment point on the Colorado and a similarly poor atachment point on the truck, it was no longer a straight piece of RHS but had a 90 deg piece connected on the end. Well it did until it showed the truck from a distance.

Anyway, we had a win and if it stops one person doing something stupid and getting injured, it was worth it.

Looks like they digitally edited the ad, as at the beginning the car has a towbar with an obvious towball and then when the vehicle is performing the recovery the towball has disappeared so now the chain looks as if it attached to the rear bar.

Still showing the old ad here in WA today at 1pm on GWN during the footy.....

I had another response from Holden last week indicating all stations in Australia had stopped showing it.
          Cheers

Hmmm... seems to me they are showing the 'new' ad in WA.

I've seen it a couple of times now and you can clearly see the yellow shackle.

This is the result from a tow ball snatch...

Holden are stupid for thinking this is ok!!

Looks like Holden have finally made an effort to right some wrongs - albeit on YouTube. At least they got someone who knows a bit about 4wding to present it.

A little bit off topic - but I want a paint job like the new Colorado. An ad on the telly up here shows a white colorado driving down a muddy dirt road, going through muddy water and crossings and ending up squeaky clean. Bloody fantastic, Ill never have to wash my car again!!!!

The factory tie-down points are rated for recovery according to this video. Interesting...

They are not factory tie down points (I was reliably informed) they are manufacturers rated recovery points, but I would still be using an equaliser strap

They are not tie down hooks, they are recovery hooks, they are rated at 1.5T each
