  • HTC One X thoughts ?

A bit of a dumb question, but I have a pretty old iPhone 3GS that needs replacing and I am confused with all the flash smart phones out there. I want to go away from Apple (maybe) because of all the iTunes crap. Can anyone fill me in about this Android business ? From what I can see the HTC One X is a big player and looks to be value. The extra 400 odd dollars (at least) over the iPhone is a bit steep..

Can anyone clued up on the good oil about android HTC phones enlighten me as to the pros and cons, compared with Apple ?

Hi Matt I haven't heard of that particular model, however I have a HTC desire, which was the top android phone 2 years ago. There are a lot of good things about android. As u mentioned u are free from iTunes, which means it can act like a portable hard drive and load music easily. It also has the benefit of adobe and flash player. However lately I am leaning back towards Apple, particularly after buying an iPad and playing with friends iPhones. The range of apps and accessories for iPhones are much better and they are easier to use.
If you are looking at android take a look at the Samsung galaxy as they are getting very good wraps.
    Cheers, Matt

      Hi Matt,

I got the HTC One XL from Telstra 2 weeks ago, very happy with it and it was cheaper than the iPhone. I thought about the iPhone and have used plenty with my work but just couldnt bring my self to get one. My son also has an HTC One X with Vodafone I think and he is also very happy with it.
Bigger screen, good battery life (provided you turn off what you dont need), bluetooth works with the 150 but still very much learning the phone.
All up very happy with the HTC One XL, best bet is to go to a phone shop and play around with the phones and you could be apple free.

X2 for HTC One XL, had mine for about a month. Great phone, but there are just as many good phones on the market. Samsung Galaxy 3GS would be my next choice in the Android line up.

in 2 mines with this one. i have the HTC one x there apps are pretty boring really. nothing to buy in qauilty games. i was told by the chick at vodaphone that there exact apps with the iphones. ( i had to listen to the women didnt i) i still play with he iphone only cause of the games. but the camera and the video is absultely brilliant. i have mine HTC with vodaphone very slow in some places. over all i wouldnt get one again as its actually sitting in the box it came in.
