    Just wanted to share a positive customer service experience I had recently.

    I purchased a LED work / camping lamp from ABR - Sidewinder (am i allowed to name the company here?) through fleabay. Payment was made, speedy delivery, as advertised, all good! The first time I used the lamp it started to overheat to the point where it was getting to hot to touch. I closed it to turn it off and put it aside to let it cool, I checked it about an hour later and found that it had overheated so much that it had stopped working and the plastic had melted!

    The next day (a Sunday) I decided to email Sidewinder and let them know what happened and include some photos of the lamp. I received an email in less than two hours(again... On a Sunday!!) with a possible explanation from Derek and stating that he would send another one out to me. Within a few days I had a new lamp, which is awesome and working perfectly, at no extra charge!

    I don't want to dwell on the fact that I got a dud lamp in the first place, sh1t happens, I can live with that. I just wanted to acknowledge the excellent service I received from Derek at Sidewinder, his quick response, and no questions asked replacement are almost unheard of these days! I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

    I wish I had a similar response when I contacted him about the switches I received which didn't fit and didn't work.

      Derek is a member here and as a great 150. I have bought a heap of stuff from him over the past 10 years or so, and the service has always been outstanding.

          I must say I have bought a few things from him as well and always had excellent service from him. He is always quick to respond to queries.
