I was at my local Auto One today, just to buy some stuff for wifeys car. The place was packed and I decided to give it a miss for today. On the way out, I noticed they had 10 litre Castrol Diesel Magnatec on the shelf. I was pretty shocked to see the price, $129.9. I called my local Repco on the way home and got a price from them, $79.99 just as I thought. I bought it a few weeks back at my local BP for $66.90.

I wonder how many bloody wood ducks Auto One would have smashed for $130 a pop so far ? it makes me mad living in a rural area, listening to bitching local retailers about people bulk buying at bigger chain retailers like Supercheap and the like; the i see this bullshit going on.....

I know it's happening everywhere, but ya need to really research prices on the net before you venture into a shop these days hey ?

Caveat Emptor

I impulse bought something at the Supercheap 20% off sale. When I was at Repco later in the day I noticed it cheaper at their normal price. I took the item back to Supercheap and asked for a refund.

Supercheap 20% off sale. They usually put the prices up 30% overnight before the sale. I have noticed this a few times. I was looking to get a 20 litre jerry can they were $26 normal price, I went in on the 20% off day and they were now $34.95 , even with 20% off they were no cheaper. You have to watch them

I have also noticed this, but i must say my experience was it was a permanent price increase overnight, then 20% off for the day but the price stayed up after the sale finished, it was on their Bow shackles, too bloody dear now! even 20% off.....
always make at least one call to the opposition in your car on the way to shop, you just might make a turn...... i do!

my local autobarn is the best I believe 20 ltrs of rx super $115.Thats pretty good.When i bought my light force xgt hid's everywhere else i rang was $800 each they did them for $660 each...

I find that hard to believe, most stores would carry 4000-5000 lines do think they run around and change 5000 tickets in every store across the country the night before they have a 20% sale.
I have been in retail for 25 years and last time we changed every ticket in our store because the government wanted units of measure on them, it took one person all week to change 5000 tickets.
