The coleman eventemp is a low pressure stove, so you can have the longer hose connection..

We have the eventemp with the griddle - love it! can cook pancakes three across for breakkie. The stove takes minimal time to boil water as well.

The gas adaptor is very fiddly thats true, they have it like that so you can attach the coleman mini gas bottle to it instead of attaching to a gas bottle. We have the coleman HWOD that also can use the mini bottles (we usually get a week or more out of mini bottle with 5 of us camping) so I decided I would give it a go on the eventemp stove - not even two days.

I love Weber Q and I'm thinking of getting the 100 series for camping.

I was camped up north for 2 weeks and I ran out of gas using a 9kg bottle for cooking on my Coleman and light. The 9kg running my fridge and stove in the camper didn't run out.

Also a Cobb Cooker is a great little cooker using 1 large brickette, have cooked up some mouth watering roasts out bush, then some damper afterwards on the same brickette. Always goes with us on camping trips.

in a sense they are like a little weber with a mote to put in water/wine/beer etc to keep what your cooking moist, also put veggies in alfoil in that area too. then you got a grate in the centre of the mote to put in charcoal brickettes ( i use these large round shaped ones that you can light without fire starters ) put the flat base in then your roast or whatever your cooking and then the dome lid. A large roast takes about 2 hrs, then its all done, usually still got enough heat in the brickette to do a damper afterwards.
Have a look on the website, first saw one used in the Simpson and it swayed my mind to get one.
                You wont be dissapointed Dave.

                cheers Derek

We use Coleman dual fuels stoves for short trips and a Coleman Roadtrip bbq longer trips.
Roadtrip takes several types of gas cylinder and can put out enough heat to melt the alloy gridle.

                  Love them both

After much research I bought Coleman Eventemp with non-stick flat plate, and haven't looked back. Use a 3kg bottle which lasts forever and keep a couple of small 400 odd gram bottles as backup. Really good heat and the non stick ali plate literally only needs a good wipe with kitchen roll to clean. For brekky I still have cheapo butane single burner for boiling the billy, as the ali plate is full and in the way with a load of bacon & eggs, so it's most important to make sure the coffee is supplied to the better half as you should be aware Caffeine is the most important nutrient of the day, and butane single burner also good for a backup. I also use butane Gasmate light at night which uses same cartidge as single butane stove, so worksout well. I also chose the three burner just so I could fit a couple of pots/pans on at the sane time. Shop around as quite often you will get a good deal with the non-stick ali plate combined rather than bought seperately. The carry bag is usually extra @ $30-40. But worth worth protecting it.

I picked up the Eventemp last week before a trip up the coast with friends. I was a little concerned about the extra size but we ended up with a fire ban on Saturday and used it to cook dinner for 5 adults and 3 kids so much easier and faster than I ever could have on my 2 old burner. Couldn't have been happier with a new toy when we were all sitting around eating a hot meal and enjoying the glow of the LED lights.

I've only used it for a few days so far but it'll be part of the standard kit for any trips with the family.

I used Coleman dual fuel with the "old" petrol Prado because I had a little tap in the fuel line hence no need for carrying other fuel containers.
It was/is working very well but the missus never got it running and we have a diesel now, so we got a gas stove as well.
Went for Primus 3 burner with piezo ignition which goes well with my wife but the piezo igniter's are a bit sensitive to getting dirty or bend when cleaning the stove.
For longer overland trips I still would take the dual fuel (if missus allows ;-) ) as I prefer a small jerrycan with petrol over the gas bottle.

gidday derek11, we were given at Cobb cooker by some peolpe we were camped next to at Carmila beach two weeks ago as they got sick of trying to get it to work so of course we graciously accepted as we know they are an expensive bit of gear. We tried it last week at the bedfor weir and put on a roast of pork and did the numbers according to the book but the roast took more like 3 hours than the 2 the book stated based on weight etc but cooked fine in the end. The secret is in the lighting and getting the heat beads to turn grey before placing the meat on something i will work on.

                              Cheers
