Hey Matt, sitting down? Rang ARB for something else and asked the question, $745.00 each, and they come with a harness that is different to the IPF 900's so you would need to remove the old harness and install the new on.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

I looked at these in the flesh last week. They seem to be really well made and completely rebuildable assuming new higher intensity leds come out but as richo said they are very expensive and they dont have the reach of my HIDS I put in my IPFs in distance.
            cheers

Nice looking lights, and definitely a new direction for ARB putting their name to lights rather than selling IPF's.

Aside from the price, which puts them way out of my league, but watching the video is seems like the light is almost TOO bright.

The part where the roos jump across the road in front of the vehicle, it seems that in the brightest part of the light that the roo gets lost...

I wonder also how they would go on the road - I reckon they would be very distracting with their reflection off street/road signs.

Good point Madkore, I have enough trouble with the IPF's reflecting off the road signs....... I'd still be interested to see a set in action though.

I would think that this is related to the camera settings. If the camera was set to auto exposure, it would try to brighten the image to compensate for the darker surroundings. Or if the camera was put on manual mode to give a good exposure down the road, the reflection off a roo at a closer distance will make it look bright.

So video footage is not something to rely on as you can be deceived as to how bright a spotlight can be depending on the settings of the camera. The only reliable way to do it is to take a still photo on a camera with manual settings and have another light to compare with, say an IPF HID.

I find that the led's don't reflect off road signs at all. When I had the 22" and 42" led light bars on my lux there was no reflection off signs.

They are nice but one light is the same price and same output as a 22" light bar, I think one lightbar would look a lot better then one of those lights..

Yes a light bar will give a better horizontal spread pattern.

Certainly friggin expensive, but I guess like everything you pay a premium for a new product!
They are going to have trouble competing at that price.

                          Cheers Matt

I was thinking the same thing! Innovative, but I am afraid my favourite supplier may have missed the boat on this one. It will be a light bar once the price comes down to better reflect the cost of supplies plus reasonable profit equation

Can't believe that price, especially when something like the Fyrlyt is only $300ea. And the of course a set of IPF's with quality hid upgrade would be under that for the pair! Look smick though.

                              Cheers,
