One thing I used to do to minimise the ads ( sort of) was to increase in settings the number of posts per page from 10 posts to 40. Also makes it quicker for me to search for a particular post in a thread.

Sounds like you have a program in your computer that has been downloaded, either by piggy backing in on another download or by accident from another family member, go through your computer programs and remove the offending program, I had this happen to me a few years back and it worked a treat.
