Joey, I have been thinking the same thing. You have any ideas on where/when?

                      Carlo,
I can't remember where you said you would like to head to. Was it Koombooloomba?

correct mate havent been there but apparantly bit of off road action to get there and then a crystal clear dam suitable for water activites and nice camp site... even toilet and shower...not many people get there becuase it is dirt road to get in... might even be some mud action after plenty rain in tablelands??

I started to reply when the forum crashed. I was looking on the Parks and Wildlife website http://www.epa.qld.gov.au/projects/park/?parkid=189 and I noticed this comment

                          Getting there
Koombooloomba Dam is 34km south of Ravenshoe. A large section of the access road is unsealed and unsuitable for conventional vehicles, particular during wet weather.
I am keen to go. How about boxing day?

                          Cheers,
                          Kevin
