Mechanics South of the river in Perth

G'day guys,

Have had a bit of a look at the forums and haven't found anything on this so far, also didn't find anything saying i couldn't post about this so if i am in the wrong section or not allowed, please let me know.

Basically, looking for a good, honest and above all, 4WD orientated mechanics south of the river in Perth. I am more than happy to pay for a job well done, but i also want to build a relationship. Have had to many dodgy experiences now and am getting sick of it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

how far south?
Robson Brothers in Welshpool are pretty good I have heard.
Otherwise, I travel from South to North to go to RAMP auto group.. (Worth it IMO)

I've gotten really good service from Robson Bros recently. Top notch in fact. Even offered me a lift to work.

RAMP looks like they are more boy racer inclined timmay? Do you use them? I have heard Robson Brothers aren't bad and live in the the Melville area, so Welshpool isn't that far. Thanks for your help mate.

Anything complex i have used Robsin Bros
Basic servicing as he is a 4wd nut himself Auto Masters at Applecross have been quite good to me

Yep the the two places SOR are Robson Brothers 4WD in Welshpool or Toyota Landcruiser Care (TLC) in O'connor. Both are 4WD specialist with outstanding reputations.

Yup Robson brothers. He won't touch the injectors though told me to see Toyota for.that but the rest top notch work

Anyone tried the new ARB Store in Rockingham (Adventure 4x4)? They do logbook servicing but I don't know anyone who's used them for anything other than fitting aftermarket parts.

I've purchased a couple of things from them and their customer service was the best you could get. Dude absolutely couldnt do enough for me.

Cant comment on their logbook servicing though cos 1 - I am a mechanic and 2 - my 150 gets fixed price servicing down the road anyway

I agree about the customer service but you do have to watch out when they quote a job. A friend of mine was quoted for some work and when he went to book it in they said they made a mistake and didn't include the labour although the written quote said 'fitted'.

I suspect he was just unlucky but a friend of mine went there but wasn't impressed and wouldn't go back. They were cheap but left a fuel leak - they fixed it free of charge but the turbo didn't work after the second visit and had to go back again to get it sorted (they didn't reconnect something). He's planning on getting one of the Chinese copy testers (about $400) so that he can do it himself in future.

Maybe unlucky when i went there all top quality work and one of them was going into the city so gave my wife a free lift when she dropped the car off
