That's the rub ... if you want a space to be able chuck some photos for posting on the forum ... then you cannot protect it from anyone who wants to look through your pics. If you want to lock it up with a password then you cannot give access to forum readers without sharing the password.

I even put some pics in a folder on the same server that I store my website on. That means that the pics cannot be browsed ad-hoc ... but as soon as I post those pics on the forum someone can read the pic properties and locate both the server and the folder.

The choice is ... If you want to share pics on the forum be aware that the forum is also a public space and those pics are available to all and sundry.
