Removing Grande Badge

Hey there and a Happy New Year to all, I have an 03' Grande and would like to remove the Grande badge on the rear door preferably without damage...can anyone help me with this one please?
Also how do I put my vehicle details-photo etc at the bottom of my posting page??

Hi Lenny,

Not sure if the badge has studs that go through the door, in which case you'll need to remove the inner skin, but if it's only glued onto the skin with a mastic-like adhesive then carefully and slowly sawing back and forth with a small piece of fishing line will cut through the glue. Once the badge is off turps can be used to get the rest of the goo off the metal.

If it is stuck on heat gently with a hair dryer, this will soften the adhesive and it should lift off! Eucalyptus oil will remove the left over adhesive residue.

Leave the car in the sun for a few hours then use dental floss between the badge and panel. Once off use some prepsol to remove the residue, make sure you apply some wax as the prepsol will strip everything.

Great and thanks for the tips, a sixpack and a hairdryer it is this arvo! Pretty sure there'd be no pins attaching it to back door.

Well if there are any retaining clips, you will find out when you try to put the fishing line/dental floss behind the badge.
Do you know that if you remove the grande badge, you loose 10K off the value of the vehicle....lol

I pulled my grande badge off too, I don't like badges so I took it off.

There's no pins nor any real need for heat, I just ran the fishing line behind it and cleaned off the remaining double sided tape with a caramel wheel.

You right ntp shouldve got a Gxl, too late now, wanted all the gadgets but in reality they just annoy me. I dont like the badge on it seems a little pompous...I do like the fridge though...especially if wifeys drivin.
