  • 120 d4d reserve tank

    hi guys

have been lurking for a while and also looked up archives and found most reckon that the reserve holds anything between 10 and 20 liters. I got the orange light on yesterday and drove on for about 15/20 mins in peak hour traffic, arrived at the servo and put in 900ml of 2 stroke oil and then proceeded to fill up. 149 liters is all I could squeeze in. I let it settle for a few seconds before giving the trigger another squeeze but 149 was all I could get in. 30 liters, or even near that is a pretty big reserve.

Don't know if there's much variation between cars but the indicator seems to last a lot longer on the first tank than the 93/87 suggets. Then again, I haven't let the level drop to the orange warning before and if there's nearly 30 L left, it's obviously going to go for around 250 ks + before empty. Anyone else found similar??

Was that meant to be a link? Didn't work on Tapatalk! Did a search and no threads with that title turned up!

It is a link and it works with safari. Likewise a search for that thread title brings that one and a few others.

          Cheers Andrew
