Stockton Closure Gathering

Not sure in people are aware but all camping and dune driving is still closed on Stockton. It was initially restricted after storm damage in June but has still not been re-opened. National Parks seem determined to keep it closed. For anyone who has been to Stockton or intends on going there, please read these and hopefully attend, the more people the better.

PITT ST RESERVE, STOCKTON, Saturday 2nd February. I'll be there 9am, leaving for a drive to Cessnock at 11am.

FROM US (Lower Hunter Valley 4WD) -

Travelling from Cessnock to Stockton in convoy, leaving at 7.30am SHARP, meet Cessnock back carpark of COLES.

7.45am as convoy passes Kurri Bowls/Maccas more to join in convoy from this meeting point, they will fall in line behind travelling convoy.

John Renshaw Drive to Beresfield, Right at end onto Pacific Hwy, Left onto Industrial Drive, left onto Tourle St, Right onto Cormorant Rd, left onto Teal Street, Right into Fullerton St, left into Clyde, right into Pitt St, Park meet place on left... find a place to park?

Meeting at Pitt St Reserve...

Convoy heads back with Roothy & 4WD Action to Cessnock Showgrounds for lunch (canteen & bar open).... enjoying a flex ramp comp for fun... Light's on, Channel 15

not talking shit, my sister live's at the bay, we are off to wagga this long weekend to see her son graduate in the army ( proud uncle, ex - navy) got rego the pay week as i get home , on the 30th / jan but if i can sort out the $, i'll show the V6 badge for pradopoint.com, , looking forward to meeting a few more members ... and its only a fuel bill for me ok... keen , here without bullshit.. , and if i can wing it, i will be there for the cruise ok!...
iiiiif its too tight ,, thinking of ya , will keep a eye on this thread and i will advice as time goes by,,, cheers boyz ,, good cause, not evan reg. tooo access stockton , but no matter how it goes , nothing wrong with a road trip......

The lower hunter 4wd club shall be leaving and travelling in convoy in Cessnock at Coles at 730am sharp. The convoy will travel to the meeting area at Stockon, attend Roothys meeting and then I think, Roothy shall lead the convoy (and hopefully heaps of other people) back to Cessnock show ground for another meet up with lunch..

I was planning on going directly to Pitt Street Reserve in Stockton and then back to Cessnock with the convoy. Dont see any reason this cant be done. Happy to change those plans if going to Cessnock first is required.

Whilst I support the intent of the event, I do have to question ramp competition and aspects of the event that others outside the community would view with a lot less interest or bogans lets ban them.

If I was to see huge amounts of rubbish left over with lots of empty stubbies I would be horrified

I know the club running this gathering and I severely doubt there shall be any issues.

Lived in the Hunter for 40 years and people do the right thing down here
