Is that why they are often hard to get??

They are hard to get because Michelin don't reorder stock until they run out here in Aus , and there is a 3 month lead time when you order tyres from the factory (they make them as they are ordered , no stoic is carried at the factory)

Coopers on the other hand order them continuously so they usually have stock coming in all the time , its not the wholesalers stock that is old it will be the retailers who buy something in then don't move it on
