Looking for good toyota petrol mech in sunshine coast and surrounds.

Evening blokes, hope this is the appropriate posting point for this subject, just curious as to who people are using to work on they're toyota,s in SEQ?, willing to travel to a point for the right mech, 4L v6 03 model. Im extremely picky, because unfortunately i have been caught out by several mech,s around the place, charging for work not completed, broken item,s from the apprentice or mech bodged and hidden from view, etc, nowadays i put marks on items and look for telltales immediately before paying, unfortunately a large majority of people seem to think it,s okay to do half a job poorly but charge you for a full job at ridiculous hourly rates. Any suggestions of shops people have found pretty good would be appreciated, 200 000klms and 2nd hand so no warranty or need to use dealers. Thanks in advance.

I think the problem is it is hard yo find a good mechanic anywhere these days they seem to give the work to apprentices who stuff things up.
A friend of ours got her car back from being serviced and it kept running hot after that so she checked the water level in the radiator, to her shock she found it full of oil which the apprentice got mixed up with what he was supposed to put in there. I think she was lucky he didn't fill the engine with water as the lubricant.
