  • tow bar goose neck alterations

i purchased a set of rocktamers for my 150 series gxl and upon trying to put them on found that they dont fit with the goose neck in its original position rang the place where i purchased the and was told that i would have to drill another hole 30 mm from the origanial hole which would make the tounge stick out 30 mm could any one tell me if this would change the tow ball weight for the towball

You mean the amount a towball can withstand (down force) or the actual amount of weight on the ball?

Ball weight won't change but the amount it can handle may. It would certainly increase the leverage factor.

At the end of the day this would probably not be legal, towbars are tested with a particular tounge in a set position, anything other than this has not been tested so may not be legal.

    Cheers Andrew
