I am also a member of Another forum. When you read about the problems that 200 series owners have and then read the problems that Prado owners have that are posted on this forum, most of it are more annoying things than earth shattering. To make it real, if any of those cars tick all your boxes then that's the one for you. A doctor only sees sick people, but not everyone is sick. The same with any problems cars have. I know people that have 200 series and Prado's and neither have given their owners any problems even with high mileage. I say enjoy your vehicle and get out and see our great outback.

I have a D4D Prado manual. My folks just picked up their 200 GXL diesel. Comfort wise - no obvious difference. Powerwise - the V8 is well ahead. It's an impressive engine. Not surprisingly, its smoother because of the extra cylinders, but its also noticeably quieter in the cabin too.07 White GXL D-4D & 6 Spd Manual. Sovereign Bar with 3 LF 240's.
