  • Stolen Prado- Brisbane bayside

PP member Bidla, (Alan), has his white 120 series stolen from his house at Wellington Point today. The mongrels broke into the house, found the keys and it was gone. It was fully kitted out for a trip to the Cape later this year. It did not have the Rhino Rack basket or the awning fitted, as shown in the picture, when it was taken. I'm sure you join with me in offering Alan your support and will keep an eye out for it. Cheers Jim

Wow Pradograng that's terrible news! Was he part of your trip up to the Cape? I will keep an eye out during our weekend travels. Sorry to hear about this.

F*cking mongrels. Probably over the border by now. Been meaning to get some sort of vehicle tracker. What are other people using if any.

Good news for Bidla. The police found it intact this morning parked in a street not too far from his house.

Good news that it was found.

Break and enter to get keys, steal vehicle and take it around the block, park it locally, you don't need to be bright to be a crook.

I would say he's lucky, but if he was truly lucky none of this would have happened.

I imagine you are all quite relieved given the big trip planned.

                Cheers Andrew

Jim , Hopefully they catch the guys and karma comes around for them.
Great result in the end for Bidla considering.

Yes Andrew we would have had to postpone it. It will be all the more enjoyable now.

                      Hi all,

Thanks to Jim and everyone for their great support. I was truly gutted when I found out it had been stolen. Jim and I have spent the past 2 + years planning the Cape trip and modifying the vehicles. I really didn't know what I was going to do. But anyway it's ended up OK for the Prado. Unfortunately the scrum that did this also lifted all my wifes jewelry. 5 minutes in a closed room is all I ask for.....
Thanks again to all and especially to Jim for the words and assistance.

Seems odd that it was stolen and then just left locally, sure you didn't just forget where you parked it after a bender Bidla?

Just kidding, glad you got it back intact.

Thanks fido. I thought that it had headed south and was being stripped of parts or torched. I'm thinking it was youths just after some cash in the house and a quick thrill ride. Dunno.

                              Bidla,
Were your house keys with the car keys? A mate had something similar happen, house keys copied and house substantially emptied a couple of weeks later. Have a think about a monitored alarm or a bloody great big dog.
Happy the car got back to you.
                              Cheers,
                              Soz
