When we had the Vic Tech day one of the guys that was there had something like this maybe this one on his phone.
It worked really good giving all information about the car on his phone . Don't know if it could give you injector settings.
I'm in early stages of doing this, will report back once I have played around with products I get. Either way there looks to be a few cheaper ways of doing this.
OK. I now have a small, WiFi OBD2 device that is ELM compatible ($20 on eBay) and downloaded Dash Command from the iTunes store. $10.
Once setup (took 2 minutes to enter vehicle data, fuel tank size and a few other settings) and remembered to select the device as a Wi-Fi connection every time I get in the car (my iPhone defaults to the WiFi in the house) this app works beautifully.
I want it to primarily monitor fuel usage which, alas, is the worst feature of Dash Command at the moment, although they say they are working on it. You have to fill-up a few times for the calibration to be precise and make sure to use the app 100% of the time you are starting the car and driving.
My 2008 Diesel Prado (140,000km) is averaging 10.3lt/100km around town and about 8lt/100km on the freeway so sounds about right.
There are a couple of settings that are blank;
1. Fuel Level
2. Range (distance to empty)
The Dash Command people tell me I need to have a SAE.DTE PID to get those numerics working. Does anyone know if this model Toyota outputs that particular PID from the computer?
