Hutch went as far as Bundy a couple of weeks ago. Lots of roadworks between Maryborough and Childers. Hear same story further North. Take your time and give yourself and extra half an hour or so.

Hutch it almost sounds better to head up the inland route. Bit longer but less traffic and congestion. And you can drive through Mt Morgan which is a treat unto itself!

OK keep going straight and then turn right and come into Rocky via Stanwell and Greysmear. I like the range bits...

When I lived in Rocky I took my BIL from the UK on the mine tour and as he has a penchant for souvenirs and trivia he bought a 'welcome to Mt Morgan' tee shirt or some similar slogan. Bright yellow it was with a map of the mine and large Mt Morgan in black. He was working as a tour coach driver a few years later and was driving some tourists in Italy I think it was, or France, who knows, and met an Aussie and his wife. BIL started up a conversation being he is an affable soul and they mentioned that they were from a small town in central Qld. As he was now an expert on the area he kept asking for more info. When pressed they admitted to being Mt Morganites. To which my BIL stood up and exposed his tee shirt from said location!

And yes Mt Morgan is fine. Don't stop though.....
