What's with the new popup yahoo contextual ads?? I'm talking about the hovering black bar across the bottom of the screen that follows you as you scroll on a page.

I'm all for prado point making money from ads placed in threads and at a fixed point I the page, but this is just annoying! Particularly when browsing on an iPad or worse yet an iPhone.

Mods? Is this a feature you can switch off please?

The new ad features are sh!t. One wonders to what extent a forum will sell it soul before becoming so annoying that its users (the reason the forum even exists) move away.

There should be a balance. Indeed, I thought the corporate membership arrangements were meant to assist with defraying any site costs and the need for ads everywhere?

Once the content and enjoyment pendulum swings too far it's often too late to recover. Someone will simply start another.

Just lost the query I typed up so here I go again.

Has the forum software or settings had any change in the last few days? The problem I had with logging in via the login box at the top right corner of the PP window went away for a few days but has now returned. It will work sometimes now but not every time like it was a couple of days ago. I haven't changed anything at this end.
