Best way to clean and sterilise water tank

Just wondering the best way to flush/sterilise and clean this water tank ?? I bought second hand and smells and looks like its just had water but would really like to make sure it's clean. It will more then likely just be used for shower/toilet/washing hands and not for drinking out if but just incase we do need to use it for drinking[IMG][/IMG]

You can get sterilisation tablets from camping supply places or just use Milton.

Steve.. I've never done this to a water tank but all the MX riders use baby bottle /teat sterilising tablets (aka Milton) when they clean their water bladders/hyropacks etc. Sterident (those you use on your dentures is another good alternative!! Both cheap as chips and pretty easy to use. Personally I'd also leave it in the sun for a few hours with the cap off to kill a few million spores!

Altreratively fill it full of 50% proof vodka and have a party with all your neighbours/ next P.P meeting...may make for an interesting trip/weekend!!!??Thx C.

LOL did you see it on there ??. I punched in $100 at the last 7 seconds (which I normally do). I have mobile phone next to computer running the ebay app while bidding from computer and watch the countdown and pounce at the last second. .....Cheers Steve

Yeah I have to work it all out. Not sure wether its going to fit on top of rear draw or if there will be enough room to fit down behind it or modify the draws, Plus also have to check wether it will fit down behind the fridge slide lol, if its to much of a hassle I'll readvertise it and just have to stick to a smaller tank, may cut the barrier down and have one made up to sit under the barrier up against back seat. Will see how I go on the weekend sorting it out..........Cheers Steve
