So you think it's worth getting them to change it over? or stick with and get them to refund you the fitting charge for saving them from having to do it again.
I'd ask for that, I'd demand that at least, if they don't help you out big time after that, I'd say put the old stuff back in & full refund. Go elsewhere.
You deserve some service & compensation of some sort to soften the blow.

You know if you were in Melb, I would have said come to me & avoid all this type of thing.
    Good luck with it hey.

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes. I would be very upset.
Where I can, I take the day off and hang around the outside of the workshop and supervise. And request I am present for the test drive.
I hate to think of what happens when an apprentice takes my bike for a ride

Ps. I have to admit, I love the grunty note of the V6!

Sorry, edited as there are other businesses in the area and I should not have posted this. Mistakes and staff happen (and I know this only too well), I believe the owner / manager will do the right thing in this instance and that Steve's issues and concerns will be rectified and addressed.
Wow, it is Coreen Ave and it looks like you are right, hangs a left and heads to the railway station....I would be seriously pissed at the flogging (engine wise)... the suspension, well those bumps wont hurt an aftermarket suspension...

Go get the lowlife, glad you had a dash cam to prove it, just makes you wonder what else happens to our vehicles when we don't record things, hence why I do a lot of mods myself, just can't trust that my car is being looked after.

Hope it gets sorted and this a hole loses a lot more than his job

As long as it's all done up tight. Wouldn't be testing them at speed in public areas.

                G'day Steve,
thanks for your reply. I use the old rule that when you are really pis*ed of and need to comment give it 24 hours then write what you think.
The only trouble with the jerk who flogged your car is that if he gets the flick he will undoubtedly turn up in another shop. Sometimes it is better the enemy you know.

I wouldn't let my Prado back in their workshop to have any work done, especially when the owner is doing it under their own cost. Since you didn't get what you asked for you can assume they fitted the other branded suspension for free no labour costs involved, fuel up both tanks with Premium Unleaded and some money your way to never mention said sh#t mechanics who thrash customer vehicles.

If not go loud on as many forums, radio stations, TV shows as you can...

Very Poor. No real harm done in the long run. But they have no right to do that to a customer vehicle.

I would inform them of the following.

                    1. You will provide the information to the police.
                    2. Please remove the suspension and put original back in.
                    3. ACA or Today Tonight will be in touch with you.

Thanks for you great customer service.

                    ..Edit out...

                    Bernie.

No real harm Bernie I agree, but that prick will be taught a lesson for treating some one else's property the way he did. I'm waiting to see the boss's face as Im sure he doesn't believe me about the speed. I don't mind the suspension providing its all ok. Im thinking I may go and get my own wheel alignment done to make sure every thing is ok and the camber is ok. Seems a very big increase in lift for an IFS vehicle 60mm He reckons it will drop another 10mm when it settles although I did hear the other bloke say "I don't know where they get their measurements from ??) not sure what that was about. Don't see why I should have to pay for a wheel alignment but now I don't trust them.....To me the front looks like its higher then the rear. I should have taken the bloody measurements myself before I dropped it off. Actually I think I may have put the measurements on here for some one else not that long ago, may take me a while to find it though........Cheers Steve

That's crazy stuff Steve. I know when they road test they do hit the brakes and take of hard BUT they still have to abide by the law and speed limit.

The dash cams are great, we have got lots of things off the one in our golf.

As for your front end, mine went up 66mm when I fitted the new gear but settled down to 50mm for a 40mm lift. My front end sagged a bit from standard and I suspect yours is the same.

Steve, the front should be no higher than around 800 is a good height from memory for the 120.

I wouldn't be so sure about the boss not knowing about this stuff. He probably said "go hit a few speed humps at speed to settle the springs in"!

So what would be a rough height for a lift in the front of the 120. I presume you measure from the bottom of the alloy rim to the wheel arch ?? I have 803mm on the rear and 805mm on the front this is measuring from lip on rim at the bottom straight up through the centre of wheel to the start of the wheel arch ??....Cheers Steve
