How to charge ipad in vehicle

I don't...i hate ipads and iphones with a passion..so much so i would rather have a pair of maxtrax.

Ahhh so much Maxtrax hate in the world. Can't we all just get along?

Do you hate the ipads and iPhones themselves or just the chair to keypad interfaces that use them?

Steve, I read this thread and couldn't understand why charging an iPad is so hard?

I just plug mine into the USB slot in the centre console nest to the fridge, where do you plug yours in?

You know wat, I've been thinking f.me, this can't be right, f king around, for 8 months.

Never said i hate Maxtrax at all, infact me and craigm are now kinda buddies..he said I am no longer on his hunted and endangered list.

Must have misunderstood, read it as liking Maxtrax only a little bit more than an ipad/iphone (so not a lot).

As for the ipad/iphone thing..As an Apple Engineer i do not like them in as much as what Apple did to them, That is..you can install whatever you want on them..so long as we approve it.

The USB in the centre console won't charge an iPad 4. Not enough juice. I use the USB for my phone and 12 volt on the back of the centre console for the iPad.

Unless you jailbreak them they do not offer anything above and beyond that of a Android device straight out of the box.

Same as the iPhone 5, I will wait till they go back to the old plug or not bother changing, I've got too many docks, holders and leads.

You will be waiting a long time, they will never go back to the old connector. I just got a few connectors cheap off kogan or somewhere similar.

1/2 strength for me, I have a colour coded T3 bar remember... Does that affect charging the ipod?
