Its interesting to see people bagging it saying what a waste of time etc but then they're on a forum talking to "friends" that they've never met, and I could point out a lot of threads that are pure drivel as well!
    Each to their own :-)
Well said Whitey! I reckon there's been more dribble on PP in the last fortnight than Facebook! Both very amusing though!
    150 with stuff bolted on!

My wife is on f.b. she has never met anyone off their and does not plan to.
Furthermore the so called friends she had, she doesn't see much anymore because they all keep up on Facebook.
      SAD!!!!!

I have been on PP, just over a year, I have met dozens of like minded Prado owners.
This was my plan all along. You know throughout your life interests change and so do some friends.
Since owning a Prado & oct 2011, I had a theory that others with the same type of vehicle that go out touring & 4x4 may get along well together. So far very successfully I have grown a group in melb we call ourselves the "Vic crew".
We have completed many trips, and currently organising the 2014 gtg where there will be at least 100 real people.
I have also met PP Members from 3 other states. So far very impressed with the people I have met, very happy it has turned out this way.

You would not catch me sitting around talking to people I don't or not going to see at least twice a year.
Your right it does take time, but I think it is worth it. If your on here, get out on a trip & meet some great ppl!

Ohh and if you have got enough friends????? Some say that.....
      Well maybe you can upgrade?
Or go and see them instead of sit and read the dribble here.

Love it but when people take it serious I have a good chuckle and think how pathetic these people are ffs taking photos of a meal they just cooked or making a post saying happy birthday to their 2 year old daughter - ok so their daughter is reading at a really young age but why have they got a facebook account then you get people making posts whilst they are on holidays - advertising that there house must be vacant. And what about the lonley die hards that express all their emotions and medical results - I have a good laugh especially with my replied comments What I like is all my family is either other side of the country or over seas - no family within 4500km apart from my kids and wife so I can keep in touch with them ( telephones do my head in I dont like talking on them ) My 14 yr old daughter has an account and loves talking and seeing photos of her cousins and you can pretty well know whats going at my daughters school with comments placed on her wall but I had no idea my daughter uses the "F" bomb occasionally in personal messages but she dont know that I know.

I wasn't saying that you dont meet people on here, I met a heap of great people from here at last years GTG in SA. And some of them are now my Facebook friends!
And I do agree in that there is a lot of crap on there, but you've just gotta filter it out. Same as on here.

Yeah, its hard to use irony on these forums. Frankly I don't get time to spend on FB with all the time PP wastes.

(Did I mention I've just finished dinner and was watching Crock Dudee II) - I'll post some pictures of my breakfast tomorrow

              Cheers

              Oops sorry - wrong website

                That's about it.

Interesting To See the votes at 50/50 at this point......
I thought I was going to get hammered 90/10.
I can see why some ppl like it.

Snap out of it AJ! Yes there seems to be more crap on PP now than ever but it's not yet 100% crap.

Ps. Enjoy your trip you lucky bugger.
                    Cheers, Ben.

Yes, that where I get 90% of my business from, I film wedding videos, and when you are on most of the bridal sites on FB (for the areas that you want to work), you get enquiry after enquiry, and it does not cost you a cent for advertising. My wife has her business on there too, and it is the same thing for her.

Dead right ...this forum is exactly Iike a Facebook group...... Don't knock it just cause you don't do it..... Typical human behaviour to bag something out that they don't understand or are involved with.

I am a member of a number of FB groups that I get info from, catch up on family stuff, jokes, mindless bs as well..... Scroll past it and get the info you want.
Buy and sell groups , camping groups, 4wd groups etc etc.....it's a great way for like minded people to share ideas etc. like everything there will be a small minority of people that annoyingly tell you too much or post info that is useless/ annoying, easy to scroll past it!
                          Cheers
