Hi All,
Just had a custom made alloy roof rack (tradesman style) fitted to our 150 series. The press rails which the rack sits on is the standard ARB railing system. The rack consists of 25mm bars running across the rack at 300mm spacing with mesh welded on top. There is a wind deflector on the front of the rack with 3 holes half the size of the palm of your hand at front bar where the wind deflector is welded to the front bar. There are no holes at rear of the wind deflector (300mm,width) where it joins on to a cross rail. Not sure if this is needed as it is powder coated now.
Is there any thoughts on reducing the wind noise? It's not unbearable at 110km/hr but I believe with last roof rack (arb tradesman) it can be reduced more. The rack is smaller in length then the standard ARB tradesman rack, and set back so the majority of the wind should travel past it before hitting the front of the rack.
Cheers Kane
