  • Spotlights Stolen - Innaloo Cinema Perth: Warning

Ok so just letting everybody in Perth know to be very careful at the Innaloo Cinemas at the moment. I had my Lightforce spots releived from my bullbar as I sat and watched Wolverine this Saturday just gone. Speaking with the complex security, they reported they'd had a recent spike in issues with theft and damage in the carpark - at all hors of the day.

Yep - yet another set of Lightforce spots stolen, I'll join the already-long list of people who've suffered this. Second set that i've had stolen so I'm finished with Lightforce spots. They might get a surprise when they try and light em up though as they had HID globes - and they sure as hell didn't get the ballast under the bonnet.

Anyone who's got a dummy set of spots and wants to do a stakeout at the cinema over the weekend lemme know........

So if you come across a guy trying to flog a set of Lightforce 240 Blitz lights with HID globes in scarborough / innaloo then they're probably nicked.

I'm feeling for ya mate, unfortunately it is happening everywhere. Even the car park at my work, which is a Mine Site and is not the easiest place to access, spotties have been going walk about.

Heh heh Bushbasher! Yeah I get the impression it might be an easy sting to set up at the Cinemas at the moment. Security said very recently the carpark has been getting hit there. Shotty is too good for people like that. Frikkin rusty axe springs to mind.......

With the advent of small gps units these days I'd love to stash a small trackable unit inside a set of spots and track these blokes. Was just thinking about that dash cam that's being disussed at the moment too. I think unless I can get some pretty solid spots that will be the last set I bother with.

Any site with easy pickings I guess I'm not all that surprised about. A minesite carpark is a bit tough to take but you wonder if might be someone else at the mine. Stuff gets flogged from my office all the time, so that is probably someone I know doing it. People are the frikkin pits sometimes.

I stopped and winched this young couple out of the bushes a few nights ago - they'd skidded off a corner in the wet weather. These guys were open-mouthed that someone had stopped to help them, fully expecting that nobody would stop to help. Can't say I blame em for thinking that. Pretty sad though that that is the way they were thinking.

I was thinking of getting a set of these but was worried about the thieving yobbos around here. Has anyone tried the lock nuts that you can get for them? Or are people just working around them?

I was thinking of using Torx nuts. As they are more rounded and can not be used with normal socket or shifters. Oh and a shed load of Loctite.
