Darche swags are very good. I had one for over 5 years and it was fully waterproof in downpours and had full mozzie netting with full canvas cover and entry/exit either in the normal top or through the dome at the head end. Also waterproof base that has waterproof sides up to approx 5-8cm high to stop water seaping in. Price is around $300 delivered from a stockist I know.
I dont make commissions or kickbacks

I've got two swags,
1x is a king single and the other is a double swag...
My recommendation is to get a double version as the singles are just way to small... The double version always comes in handy if that special someone wants to spend the night aswell  and no I don't mean Chippy!!
Your local Trimmer should be able to knock a custom jobby up for ya, both of mine came from Fiesta Canvas in Kalgoorlie and I had them for over 10years...

I can thoroughly recommend a camper trailer for trips with family. The only thing better than getting away outdoors for the day is staying overnight(s).Originally posted by billySim in the market for something , maybe the Adelaide caravan camping and outdoor show next week will make my mind up .

Samo.
I've got a Burke and Wills Coolabah. I am very happy with it. It handled Barrington Swamp very well.
It's around the $400 mark, -probably a bit cheaper on eBay but the quality of the stitching/canvas making, mosquito netting and poles are noticeabley superior to the two swags I bought my kids for Xmas (Jolly Swag by Downunder Swags). The Jolly Swags seem ok but I have already had to take one back for a new zipper and the canvas stitching is just not as neat - thats all. But they all handed the Barrington tops downpour well.
Wtih that in mind. Get a swag with a "Shooters Window" or end opening as well, cause if its raining you can get into like a little tent, and not get your sleeping gear wet by having to open the top to enter it.
Burke and Wills swags (countryoutfitters.com.au I think is the company) are more expernsive but I am very happy with the quality.
Hopefully next time we meet up Samo we can compare swags!!
Whatever swag you get - follow a tip I learnt just last weekend in another downpour, lay your swag out over a couple of metres of shadecloth to keep the moisture away and give you somewhere nice to stand as you get in/out.
Sometimes its fun just to camp out in the backyard with the kids..
