Without wanting to sound pedantic, his character was Brian O'Conner, not Spilner. Autopsy showed he did not die on impact but was burnt to death. Either way you look at it, a truly horrendous way to go. Anyone wishing this on others I would hope are joking (poorly admittedly) or not caring due to the speed circumstances must not live in glass houses or throw stones......

I'm throwing stones. If I die breaking the law, then I deserve what I get, simple as that. DO NOT be sad for me, I got what I deserved, so did these guys, end of story. They do not and will not ever get my sympathy. Speed, reckless driving, drugs, whatever all carry consequences, I choose my own poison as did they, they lucked out, too bad. My sympathies are reserved for great people like Nelsen Mandela or the innocent victims of f$%king idiots that gamble carelessly with the lives of others.

What happens if Nelsen Mandela was speeding, does he get credit for being great, or is it an instant "no sympathy" for him decision?

What if it was your wife, she was doing 80 in a 60 zone, spun on some oil and the car burst into flames in front of your house. Someone told you she was speeding. ....Oh well, she got what she deserved I suppose.

Over 120 (and that's MPH) in a 40 zone... stupidity played a big part here, and I'm sure he wasn't in the passenger seat screaming "Slow down, slow down".

Still I don't wish anyone dead cause they did something stupid..... the world would be an empty place. and I probably wouldn't have made it this far either

Lytning, this is my point. I know my attitude does not sit well with you and you probably think I'm either two faced or uncaring. This is not so and forgive me me for the following example if it offends. The example requires me to act as one that can see into the future

I hope the man 4 weeks from now dies in his flaming car as a result of speeding after getting high on crystal meth. I acknowledge it is a painful death over 38 seconds of gut wrenching pain and fear. BUT I do not sympathise because as a result of this happening, you, your wife and new born child were spared the "accident" 1.3 km up the road that would have occurred if he had not hit a tree at speed. The witnesses including a 13 year old girl were spared the trauma of watching it happen as one of the passengers heads busted through the windscreen and rolled down the road despite wearing a seat belt. Your extended family are spared the uncontrollable grief of missing you and yours every day of the remainder of their lives. (see below)

In my book Lytning, the dickhead that endured 38 seconds of extreme agony is collateral damage to Karma and the well being of those that may have been innocent victims. Unfortunately, it is not always like this. Unfortunately the offender may be my current partner (say wife) or my son that i will miss dearly and I will probably never fully recover, but so be it. That is immeasurably better than the victims being any one of your family or other innocent party and even then, no one should say poor him or her, they made their own wrong decisions and risks and paid the price whether 20k over or 200k over

I have a friend that described the accident scene in detail. He is a cop. The only fantasy part of this is you attempting to imagine how your remaining family feels. You, your wife and your child less than 6 months are all dead. This happens every day somewhere in the world......

Finally, my ex wife in all her wisdom drove into the back of a parked vehicle. If any of my children had been seriously injured I would never have had to consider divorce.

As for Nelsen... in all honesty, I'm not sure. Such a great man doing such a stupid thing.. yep, just dont know

Choices and decisions. We have to make them and answer to the consequences. Occasionally, things don't go as planned. Sometimes plans are not made and people do things on a whim or spur of the moment. And sometimes it all goes pear-shaped. Such is life (and death). There are tens of thousands of people out there driving whilst under the influence of legal and illegal substances. More than 1 in 4 road death victims have one drug or more in their systems. Unfortunately for some, they will be the innocent victims.

And, for those of us who fantasized about "doing it with Kylie", the possibility that she was so useless in the sack and unable to satisfy that old mate Hutch had to resort to strangling himself half to death whilst under the influence of drugs and pleasuring himself is just unthinkable.

I feel sorry for the innocent witnesses, friends and family.

The Porsche Carrera GT involved in this crash is a car that commands utmost respect. The model that Walker was in was a 2005 version. The 2005 models were delivered from the factory without stability control. Any Porsche needs a very attentive and capable driver, and should be driven well within it's limits on public roads. The Carrera GT way more so. The combination of amazing power and a fine tuned mid engine chassis without stability control means that mistakes at speed can be lethal, and often have been in this model. The only time to let your hair down in such a car is on the racetrack where you the driver are the most likely to be the victim of any misjudgement.

In this case, we can thank our respective deities that only the occupants of the car driven at speed on public roads were killed.

I've nothing against fast cars, not that I've ever owned anything very fast, but if I did it wouldn't be a ricer. I am more of a 57 Chevy or a HK Monaro kinda guy (they can be fast in a straight line )

                        Cheers Andrew

Had a 250 Cortina TC (coke bottle style), with 500 holly, v2 head, double row timing chain, chained motor (to stop breaking engine mounts), ported and polished, flat top pistons, etc etc, all but blue printed rebuild, c4 gearbox that was tricked and "chirped" between gear changes from 1st to 2nd and did mid 13's on the quarter mile at Ravenswood drag strip. Drove it the 1 hour and a bit from Perth, slight mods to race (petrol and water overflow) then back to normal and drove it home again. Had no difficulty matching up against most road registered v8's (well, over a quarter mile from a standing start). The annoying bit was I bought it from my Dad who never really drove it except to church. The real killer was he was going to buy an XY-GT Shaker...... if only...

On the up, no more fast and furious seems to be a good thing as they were progressively getting worse and worse.
