So lets all take pay cuts commensurate with the world standard. Hence forth we are now all on a flat rate of $2.00 per hour. Ten hour days. Seven day weeks. No paid leave, sick days, super, rostered days off, or any other benefit paid or otherwise of any kind. Cops, Ambo's & Fire-ries included except they get a can of beans and a bottle of water per day in recognition of public service. (uniforms, vehicles and infrastructure such as buildings and maintenance will be funded via a member contribution scheme. 5% of salary per week. Fuel will be over and above this but also member funded)
Public service, including politicians will be unaffected by this. They're already doing it tough.
Perhaps, one day, when things get better, our benevolent leaders will see fit to reward us.Comment
