The word "alleged" is over used in the media to stop any legal action. Everything is alleged until proven. Even after someone is charged, its still an allegation until theres a conviction. Blame the legal departments.
When it comes to media sensationalism, keep in mind that this sort of thing only exists because there is an audience for it. No audience, no tv or radio show, paper, magazine, etc. I could give lots of examples, but I will offer an easy one. Who listens to, watches or even likes Kyle Sandilands?
Me neither. However his rating tell a different story. Go figure.
