  • A Big Thankyou

    Guys,

I owe you guys a very big thanks for putting this site together.

    Why?

Well this morning HID remarks (just as she's leaving) that the Prado won't go into gear without pressing the shiftlock. She then disappears to go shopping with me trying to find out what the possible causes might be by looking in the manual I bought just after getting the Prado.

No real luck - but I'm not that bothered as my old (very) HiLux) has the same problem (for 5 years) and it's still running sweet so what the hell.

But it would be nice to keep the Prado 100% so I start looking in the manual. Nothing - not that I really expected it.

So next stop is a quick search on the web - a hit on your site - a member has the same problem - 2 guys reply saying check the brake light fuse - which I change because it's stuffed - and hey presto 5 minutes later everything is back to normal.

Now this is some kind of a record for me so I've registered and the first thing to do is say a real big thanks!!!!!!!!!

And now I see that there is a section on GPS. Maybe I can get my old Sony Clie PDA to work in NZ?

    My joy runneth over!!!!!!

    Seriously guys - top effort.

    Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum Jon. Nice to hear you had some luck. Just one thing you will have to get used to though.....
Giving the missus a peck on the cheek when you log onto PP...... sometimes you may not get to see her for a while.... way too much to read and reply to on this site..... best she gets used to it mate

        Welcome Jon.

There is a wealth of knowledge on here. About anything at all.
We expect to see an NZ trip section soon after you recruit some more contrymen to the cause. Love to see some of your countryside with a Prado in there somewhere.

        Jeff.
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Welcome about Jon. There is a wealth of info on this site with plenty of auto electric tradies and mechanics on call, who can assist in most Prado areas.
Hope you enjoy the site as much as I do. It took me nigh on 2 months to troll through all the site - and I had a ball doing it.
