  • 180 Series Prado - what changes would you make?

    To get the ball rolling....
    1. Put back the courtesy lights in the doors (deleted in 150 facelift models).
    2. Increase the speed at which the steering wheel volume controls change the volume.

Love to hear other people's ideas.

Drop the price by about 20 K.............and a FIVE year warranty, if Isuzu can do it why cant we ???

I would love it if there was a 5 year warranty too. So long as the Prado continues to sell like hot cakes, I seriously doubt Toyota will be increasing warranty or drop the price. The upside is it helps the Prado retain excellent resale value.

Diesel engine upgrade, more supportive front seats, more options for paint colours, except for the engine upgrade all pretty trivial really.

                  Hello all,

I would like the cruise control to work at all speeds in all gears down to a crawl. I hate it when I am in a roadworks zone, set the cruise to 40 km/h and have it drop out because of a slight uphill rise. I feel that this feature would be good in many off road situations also.

                  regards

                  Ross

                    G'Day,

I would like the heater & flow direction controls back as Dial switch's then you could change the settings without looking at them.
This should be a safety issue as you have to take your eyes off the road to see where the air flow is going.

                    Regards

                    John

I'd have to say more clearance, good ole fashion diff locks and the cherry on top, the 1VD-FTV 4.5 turbo diesel as an option :-)

The road less travelled is definitely the best road to be on

I have a feeling this may be an ADR requirement, all with cruise I have driven have a 40km/h limit.

A new more powerful TD donk, bigger towing capacity, rear doors like the 200 (either vertical or horizontal split) and a heap of other little trivial things.

A flip-down front windscreen so I can shoot ferals out the front.

I'd just go back to the grey, it shows up less crap. A trip to the local shops with black carpet looks like it's done a cape trip!

I agree John. It seems that many manufacturers are blindly following each other down this path. Both Falcon and Commodore chose this control option. Drives me nuts at work!!
