Alloy or black peoples opinion

which do people prefer. I bought a second set of alloys for mine and thinking getting sprayed two pack black but wife likes the look of the alloy better, I'm liking both but leaning towards black more. I'm keeping original alloys with A/T's on them and putting MUDs on the spare set. Also have some new steel rims in the for sale section if anyone interested plus there on eBay...... Cheers Steve

If you do go black, you also need to get a set of centre caps to paint.

Not sure why others opinions count on wheel colour, it's really a personal preference for each person.

For the record though I just don't get the whole black alloy thing, I don't like it all, in fact I would be embarrassed to drive around with black alloys. But hey that's just me.

Black is the New Chrome, of course it's a fad, but it transforms the look of your vehicle, it's not for everyone, personal preference, I don't like white, but there you go!

Personally I'd go black. If I could justify having the car off the road and paying someone to remove and install tyres my rims would be black. Maybe when I get new tyres.

Yeah D4D got a set of them to go with them plus the chrome nuts but you can buy some stuff like a plastic dipp to turn them black as I think painting the nuts will chip when tightening them up compared to the plastic coating stuff.....Cheers Steve

Well you know what they say.....Once you go black you can never go back LOL.

I have black alloys on my Kaka because it came that way, on a silver car I reckon it looks great. They do chip up though and get scuffed out on the tracks, not as easy to fix as on a bare alloy face.

Well I kinda like black as you can see, sold my old original alloys (which were just starting to get a bit crappy in the lacquer area) for the price of these rims.

Old thread but seems a fad thats still about , saw a prado today with black rims and it looked as if someone had jacked it up and stolen all the wheels from a distance

It's unanimous when people see my black wheels they all prefer it.
