  • Hunter Valley WIne Country Day Trip.

Anyone been to the Hunter Valley wine country recently?

My significant other has a very short break from uni and she has decided we need a day trip somewhere she hasn't been. So tomorrow (Saturday) The Hunter it is.

I haven't been to this area for years. A drive to a scenic lookout, then lunch at one of the boutique wineries are the itinerary I have to cater for.

    Ideas greatly appreciated.

I like the reds from De Iuliis wines.

Also liked the food at Sabor's, on Wilderness Road, Lovedale.

Well worth the visit to this one, excellent wine tasting education, plus some fantastic reds if you like them.

Set amongst some picturesque fields, we have spend a few afternoons there.

If you are planing for the weekend of the 18-19th of October , be aware that the hunter valley spring cruise in will be on which means zero accommodation and about 800+ hot rods and classic vehicles blocking up the roads . Should be fun .
