Makes the old lights look dull as. I noticed one of the lightforce is cracked due to age so looks like a new set of driving lights is on the agenda ..... Cheers Steve

Nice work, I've considered that placement on my tjm bar too, but I think my spotties are a little too high to fit the bar above it. Will have a light bar soon hopefully and will look at mounting options then.
What brand/specs light bar did you get

Very nicely done. We mounted the lightbar on the P-ute by putting some rivnuts in the top bar and screwing into those. Works well.

Yeah I thought of that MJ but then thought at least if I want to remove the light bar there will be no holes left anywhere. I placed some rubber under the GME brackets to reduce any scratching....mmm now to check out some new driving lights. Think I will go back to some IPF's this time. They lasted 300 thou on the old hilux and were still fine when I sold it. These light force arnt that old and already plastic is looking and obviously getting brittle......Cheers Steve

It is only a P-ute so no problem with extra holes.

I've found that some bars that are fitted with the GME brackets that, unless secured with a screw into the tube of the bull-bar, the bolts on the bracket continually break due to the corrugations. The brackets would rotate on the bar and the guys would keep nipping up the bolts to make them tighter resulting in frequent breakage. I used self-tapers to fix the bracket to the bar and then loosed the bolts. This succeeded in stopping the bolts from breaking and preventing the brackets from rotating. I am talking about vehicles that live on the corrugations permanently though.

Hi there Bushbasher, yeah the brackets actually come with a tec screw to drill through into bar. I will see how it goes. If I need to drill a hole at least it will be behind the top loop so wont be noticable, well hardly anyway......Cheers Steve

I managed to drill in from the bottom side so you won't easily see the hole when the brackets are removed.

You might wanna do something about the lock nuts on the light bar. Every day I see someone on FB has had theirs stolen off the car during the night.
