  • TRED coppied MAXTRAX now the Chinese are doing the same to TRED

(KARMA) What goes around comes around.

Just found this link to another recovery track knock off.
    http://store.powerful4x4.com.au/4x4-...f-road-tracks/

Only this time it's the Chinese who are doing it.
I guess that TRED now knows how it feels to have some one make an inferior copy of their product.

Aw this is harsh. Surely those guys from Powerful 4x4 wouldn't sell anything dodgy, cheap and unreliable.....

Those "Imatreds" (imitation Treds) look very reliable. I am prepared to demonstrate using a stranger's pram across a small puddle! (without child on board)

They are made from Fibregrate, called bridge ing ladders and a company called Dolium brought them in from memory. Big with the land rover crew.

Give me my Maxtrax any day of the week but...

Tred don't look like copies of MAXTRAX to me, they look like a similar product.
There are millions of examples of products in the world that are similar, but not the same, your very silly if you choose to carry on like that is a copy.

It looks like the treds are copied, & who really gives a sh!t?
At least it's bringing the price of plastic down, one of these days it might even get down to what it's worth.

Rightly said. As long as it works. Might get burned on here but the treds don't look too bad. Even made of the same stuff unlike some of the cheap ones. As long as it works...
                    Cheers

Sand ladders and the like have been around for a long time. My grandad used these with the 8th Army in North Africa during WWII. They tended not to hang round behind the vehicles using them as they often got spat out the back and cause serious damage to legs. Click image for larger version

Maxtrax really is just the latest in a long line of continuous improvement.

I own a set of maxtrax, I would use a set of TREDS. Wouldn't touch the 'Recovery Extraction' devices or any other cheap knock off I've seen appearing. They're just too damn flimsy

Yeah a snatch strap is quicker & easier, more compact, cheaper, etc.
Who made the first official snatch strap? The rest are just copies.............

Maybe just don't get stuck, its easy enough.
