Plenty of places repair wheels like that no probs.

Thankx for sharing, we have been talking about it recently how tuff these rims are & how we don't see much failure.

Will be watching them, bit harder to pick with everyone going black. But black is tuff right?

When I think of where these rims have been and the tracks and obstacles that I have pushed them over I am impressed that I haven't broken more. Around $150 to repair including re-balance.

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.

I used to run big thick steel rims with muddies.
I'm so impressed over the last few years with these alloys, I'm running 2 sets.
They allow the suspension to work better too, especially ifs.
Top rims, can't go past them.

well I guess the guy that repaired the rim for me a few years back was use less as it cracked behind the weld!

Got the wheel back. Looks pretty good. $160 all up including re-fitting and balancing.

They had a set of Prado alloys that had been polished, re-painted and clear-coated. Looked very nice but I'd just scratch them all up out bush anyway.

You can pick up second hand rims for not much more than that!

              Cheers Andrew

Not in this neck of the woods you can't. Since I picked up an alloy plus brand new BFG for $300 a couple of weeks ago I have seen 3 people looking to buy it off me.
