  • Bullbar vibration fix

i had removed these pics, but because i seem to be angering/frustrating certain people i have put them back up. Its not a permanent fix but its works pretty well so far with no ill effects to the guards. Still shakes abit but not as much as before. i have had these on my car for about 2 months now good for on-road use only, not recomended for off-road but its up to you. I appologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

Sorry mate I must be missing something?

    What problem are you solving?

Is that rubber stopper applying pressure between the bullbar and guard?

That's asking for trouble somewhere else IMO........You heard of Newton's theory?.

Since I added the scrub bars it has cut the vibration down a lot, it still shakes a bit but nothing like it use too

Don't worry about what others might have to say mate. As long as you're happy with the fix and it doesn't cause any other issues then it's all good.

I just asked for some clarification.

I can't figure what the rubber lump between bullbar and guard is supposed to do?

Why was the response to delete it?

all good guys, the rubber stoppers are put there on the side because when your bar shakes some of the movements come from the corners of the bar because there is no real support on the sides, just where it mounts onto the chassis, i think it is a poor design by ARB and Toyota anyway, its pretty solid where i put them so thats the reason i put them there, so far so good, like i said though i would swing them out of the way when going offroad, definatley not chancing it then, it drives me nuts when i constantly see a bloody shaking bar when i go over every little bump, it still shakes allitle some times but thats why i used rubber and nothing solid. no harm done i wasnt taking it personally lol, i appreciate the responces maybe i might think allitle more before adding photos and stuff like that next time.

The downside to forums is you can't always tell how a person is coming across, some things get taken the wrong way. guess that happens when you not chatting face to face.

anyway id like to see what u did for a fix shaky bar has been giving me the shits since day 1 of owning my prado.

                      cheer

Why not just post the pictures again? Sure some people might say it's a bad idea, but give everyone all the info including the pics and those that like the idea may copy, those that don't won't!

                            Cheers Andrew

I agree. Either that or get the mods to remove the thread completely, because I for one am going wtf? And so would a lot of other people looking for a fix.
