Ah sorry bout that. I guess if your air box is sealed properly then there shouldn't be an issue. I don't have a scoop and I still get loads of water through the front grill and underneath.
Maybe one of the guys with one can fill us in more.
Many years ago when I was 20 something I put extractors on my Magna and cut the bonnet and put a scoop on. I actually got better fuel economy from it. Everyone thought I was an idiot but you get that 😉
