I wouldnt say the Mag is OVER priced, especialy if you purchace a slick pic 25 in OZ lotto at the same time.
I get more enjoyment out of the mag for less than the ticket...

One thing about the 200 tho... That suspension X anti roll X flex thingy, Isnt almost like the Hydralastic suspension in the Clubman GT mini's for example????

I didn't think this was worth a separate topic so I put it here.

In the latest 4wd action there is a write-up about a Perth4x4 meet-up. Does anyone know where the lake is that they went to? Black Diamond or something from memory. Sorry, I took the mag to work so not sure of the name.

Moore river.
the general area covered by the Moore river lies between 100kms and 300kms north of perth. the main routes to the areas mentioned are the; Wanneroo Rd, the Brand Hwy, Great northern Hwy, and Bindoon Moora Rd

Na, I got that bit. Isn't there another bit in the back about a trip the Perth4x4 forum did down around Collie?

The Clubman GT used Hydraulic bags instead of springs and shocks.
Both left hand wheels and both right hand wheels were joind via hoses to eliminate body roll.

Worked VERY well for a light car like that.
Mine was "worked" to 1330cc..... Handling? >>>stuck like poo to a doona.

With the 200, the write up explained a bit about something similar to assist in articulation and limit body roll.

I love it when people reminisce. Back when I was a boy and so on................
From what I understand Jeff, instead of a direct link between the sway bar and chassis it has hydraulic ram set-ups. They are linked front to rear so when going around a corner to the left for example the r/h side tries to compress but both the r/h rams pressurise and so the sway-bars have to work.
However, on uneven ground when the l/h front wheel drops into a hole for example, the l/h rear usually gets pushed up into the guard and so the fluid displaced from the rear ram gets pushed into the front one.
Someone might be able to explain it better but thats my understanding of it. They still have springs and shocks, just the sway-bar links.

the initial bunch gathered just outside Armidale, then headed south towards Brunswich Junction. The plan was to make our way to Collie.
they returned by coming out of Black diamond mine (an abandoned open cut mine), which is now full of water. (log onto 4wdaction.com.au/forum/ for more info)

My son and I have just watched a couple of the latest DVD's. You really do get a lot on them

There are even "Extra" segments which we stumbled upon from the DVD menu - which don't pop up if you select the "Play All" option. This month for example (June) the extra segment was heaps of hardcore stuff from the "Son of Trials" meetup - and this footage was better than the main menu stuff in my opinion :roll:

Don't know why I am writing this exactly but if you do view the DVD's make sure you look for the "Extra" segments. They are there :?
